Moto Guzzi’s V7 model was first introduced in 1967 and quickly became the company’s bestseller. Fifty years later, the V7 is celebrated with a few upgrades and changes, four beautiful models, including a limited-edition anniversary model, all while still retaining the integrity of the motorcycles and company that the public has always looked to them for.
Moto Guzzi’s stylish café racers are showcases of the company’s dedication to their enthusiasts, who appreciate the commitment to authenticity and tradition as well as the cutting edge, unique engineering.
The V7 III Special pays homage to the company’s very first V7 Sport series, introduced in 1971, with vintage-inspired graphics that closely honor the 1975 V750 S3. The bike comes in two stand-out, beautiful color schemes: Ink Black with bright green accents and Blue Sapphire with orange and silver accents. The saddle, which can accommodate a passenger, is nicely enhanced with vintage-style quilt-stitching, completing the classic old school look of this sporty bike. Add some chrome, an instrument panel with two circular dials and spoked wheels with polished aluminum channels and black hubs and the Special convincingly takes you back in time all while incorporating the latest in Moto Guzzi technology. The Special also features fork stanchion protectors instead of dust boots, unlike the Racer and Stone.
In addition to the standard features, there is a host of original Moto Guzzi accessories for your bike including red shock absorber springs, satin finish aluminum side farings, fuel tank cover, motorcycle cover, windscreen, injector covers, leather and touring side panniers, luggage carrier, top box bag, tank cover band, single-seat, comfort gel or a premium leather saddle and aluminum brake and clutch levers.
All V7 III models have been updated while still maintaining all the features that have made these bikes so iconic. The 740cc engine remains the signature transversal, air-cooled V-twin, but it is now 10% more powerful. Other changes include a lower seat position (30.3”), new steering geometry, new oil sump and crankshaft, double pipe manifolds on the exhaust, new pistons and cylinders, an ABS system and a new adjustable MGCT (Moto Guzzi Traction Control). The V7 III also has an intuitive Bluetooth connection that, used in conjunction with a free, downloadable app, allows riders to plug in their smartphone and gain access to a wide range of useful information including speedometer, rev counter, instant power, instant torque, instant and average fuel consumption, average speed and battery voltage, longitudinal acceleration and extended trip computer.
Moto Guzzi’s V7 is a classic motorcycle with wide ranging appeal for everyone, including women, new riders and those who appreciate a traditionally beautiful and reliable bike. With the new features and upgrades in addition to the bold and eye-catching style, these bikes are sure to receive a lot of head-turning and positive comments.
